“Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” continues to be the most entertaining and substantive comedy news program on television. Sunday night, Oliver spent 30 minutes discussing the possible extension of the Patriot Act and then traveled to Russia to interview NSA leaker Edward Snowden.
Oliver has fun with the top secret nature of the interview, illustrates the threat concerning all of those x-rated selfies Americans are taking, and demonstrates how many Americans have no idea who Snowden is. But he also gets pretty tough with Snowden at times.
