Virtual reality roller coasters coming to Six Flags

Yep, that’s right. Six Flags is launching nine virtual reality roller coasters this season.

Coaster riders will put on a virtual reality headset and be transported to “The New Revolution” – a futuristic battle to save Earth from an alien invasion – all while riding an actual coaster. I’ve talked with people who have tried these VR coaster experiences in Europe and they say they are amazing. This will be the first time they’ve been brought to the public in North America.

They include… – SUPERMAN Krypton Coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio- SUPERMAN The Ride at Six Flags New England in Agawam, Massachusetts- SUPERMAN Ride of Steel at Six Flags America in Upper Marlboro, MarylandIt seems like a great way to make an older roller coaster feel like a brand new experience again. As long as it isn’t a nauseating experience. I can’t wait to find out for myself.
