I know many enthusiasts weren’t crazy about the idea of another wing coaster opening, but THUNDERBIRD looks pretty impressive. It has a launch that will take riders from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds, a 14-story Immelmann and a standard loop that soars 125 feet into the air.
Sounds fun, right?
All of this is happening at Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana. This past Saturday, the park tested THUNDERBIRD’s launch for the first time. The wing coaster opens to the public on April 25th. You can see the launch in the video below…..
