It’s the middle of October, perfect time to bust out one of our favorite recipes – Turkey Chili!
This is one of our easy go-to’s and we’ve been making it for years. I like it because it’s simple. You can throw it together very quickly and it gets better each time you reheat it. You can also add your own veggies or hot sauce or whatever to this … but this is how we usually make it and we love it! Here’s our turkey chili recipe!
Turkey Chili – makes four servings
Ingredients:
30 oz. lean ground turkey
14.5 oz. can of diced tomatoes
30 oz. tomato sauce
4 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/8 tsp. allspice
1/8 tsp. cumin
1/8 tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. Mrs. Dash Southwest Chipotle
(If you’d like a spicier version, you can replace the diced tomatoes with Rotel!)
Directions:
- Brown the ground turkey and drain.
- Add all of the ingredients to a crock pot
- Cook for 8 hours on slow, or 4 hours on high. You can also cook it in a large pot on the stove in about an hour if you are in a pinch.
That’s it!
